Alan Deutschman's (FastCompany's writer) new book "Change or Die" is an interesting read. Mapping Change to Learning and how to do it not from the traditional methods of Facts, Fear and Force, but in a new framework of Relate, Repeat and Reframe.
Continuous Learning through participation with the community that practices what you want to learn is the key.
As Innovation is about change and since as per Alan change is about learning - one can safely assume Innovation is about continuous learning... coming back to Peter Senge's "The Fifth Discipline".....
