Numerology, Forecasting and Naming

What is in a Name? Looks like lot of things.

I have been trying to find out a name that a set of people should agree. It has to be cathy, short and more importantly follow the numerology constraints as well.

Numerology maps alphabets to numbers and then based on the numbers, the numerology framework tries to predicts the future of the entity with a particular name. There are two main systems of mapping alphabets to numbers that are followed. First one is fairl straight forward as one can see below

The second system is as follows _ it is little non-symmetrical as the system avoids the digit 9. I will explain why 9 is avoided later. The second system is as follows

Lets say you want to name some thing, say Ladoo - To use the framework - we map Ladoo (each letter to the specific digit)

L A D O O
First Sys 3 1 4 6 6 = (adding all the digits) 20 = adding 2 + 0 = 2
Second Sys 3 1 4 7 7 = (adding all digits) 22 = adding 2+2 = 4

The unitary digits that we get by adding all the digits in a name tell us the characteristic of the name. According to first system the reduced single digit is 2 (2 is the number for Moon). The entity named Ladoo will have characteristics like moon. Similarly reduced number as per system 2 comes out to be 4 (which is the number associated with Hindu Mythological character named Rahu).

Typically if you want good attributes it will be great if the number is reduced to 1,3,5 or 6. Other numbers will create some issues typically.

May be now you will choose the name judicially,

The Numerology field itself derived from western astrological science. According to Hindu Mythology , Numerology had not been mentioned in any our older vedic astrological works. I am skeptical about the logic giving numbers to nine planets in the numerology

Most of us are skeptical of what we dont know. Many people are skeptical of scientific method, many are skeptical of astrology, many are skeptical of religious rituals.

I view the world and many frameworks people have developed to view the world as multiple lenses to understand reality. I dont associate causality to any thing. I would rather like to understand each and ever framework that is available to understand reality. As such reality is much more still and much more deeper than any framework is able to penetrate fully. So why not choose all the paths at the same time. explore everything without being judgemental about anything.

Lets say all of us are made of Atoms. Also for the time being believe stars and planets are made of atoms or elemantry particles. Now having an understanding of Gravity - there is some force on atoms that other atoms exert propotional to the mass and distance. Also there is an element of recursiveness, self-symmetry and order in chaos characteristics of our universe. Well I really see why without knowing the field one should be sketpical about it. Hence I need to explore, without judging the framework.

I completely agree with your view about our skepticall view of unknown things rather than taking steps to explore. May be due to long and strong association with vedic astrology would have made me insultaive to explore other areas. Still i have some work on mysteries of some numbers involved with our hindu mythology , i am also trying to find out the possible reasons for that..i will share once i complete the work The excllent QUOTE i have got during this discussion , I will always keep in mind and send it to others also..thats QUOTE is Navneeths's
